A Start Up

Incorporated in 1989, EMG began as an asbestos air monitoring and consulting firm. Over the years, with a loyal client base asking for more comprehensive services, we began to expand our business. Resources were allocated to specialize in both environmental consulting and environmental remediation. We work with property owners, architects, consultants, developers, realtors, contractors, schools, and financial institutions across the tri-state area to investigate, sample, and remediate properties. EMG tests and remediates mold, asbestos, hazardous waste, storage tank, and soil contamination issues. The diverse experience enables us to see the multi-faceted components of an environmental problem and make “real-world” recommendations.

In 2008, company principals, Ron Spencer and Kurt Spiess, distinguished services under separate operations.Environmental Management Group, Inc. concentrates primarily on consulting and testing. EMG Remediation Services focuses on environmental sampling, cleanup, and remediation engineering. The alliance provides overlap and support while differentiating enough to hone specialized expertise, equipment, and skills to offer the best possible service to our clients.
